Transcription: Montana contributed this bronze statue of suffragist Jeanette Rankin. Born in 1880, she was the first woman to serve in the House of Representatives. She was also the legislative secretary of the National Council for the Prevention of War and the only House member to vote against the U.S. declaration of war against Japan in 1941.
